Chris McCann’s Young Entrepreneur Blog – Entry #54 (Game Over Marketing)

Hey everybody!
I hope you are having a great day.
I’ve been wanting to make this video for the past few months but haven’t had the time with college and such…
So I’m really excited to share with you a business strategy that I’ve learned through my experience with the 6 figure business Game Over Marketing & Design.
As you may or may not know from reading my other posts, this company was founded by Garret Miller of GarrettCanHelp.com & Alex Moscow.
I first met Garrett at my first business seminar in San Diego. Since then I have been on the Game Over Marketing team since January.
Since then I have learned a tremendous amount through this experience, so in this 1st video of the 2 part series I will share a business strategy that I’ve learned.
I truly want you to find value in this Game Over Marketing business strategy so check the video out below:
In the Game Over Marketing Business Strategy video:
Structure
Regardless of what business you have, the success of it is highly contingent on how it is structured. This can be anything from the contractual agreements to the guidelines of operation for team members.
Businesses with sound structure in place are able to operate efficiently & will ultimately make more money.
The Power of Definitive Roles – Game Over Marketing Strategy
When the roles of each team member aren’t clearly expressed, a break down in communication occurs between the two or more parties. This breakdown in communication will cause a loss of productivity, profitability and will increase arguments.
How to Create a Business Structure with Definitive Roles
Gather your team together. Have everyone talk out the individual roles of each person. Once there is an agreement on what “Person A’s” role should be…write that role down so that you have a tangible copy that can be continually referenced in the future.
Taking it to the Next Level..
To further improve this Game Over Marketing Business strategy, do the same exercise as above…except this time have everyone imagine that they are 6 months or a year into the future. You will now have a role that everyone believes “Person A” should be in the future.
The Results of this Strategy
When these steps are complete, you will now have two tangible statements of what a team member’s current role is and what there future role will be. This is powerful because now everyone on the team has the same expectations of each other which will allow them to operate more efficently.
In addition, each member will have a set goal where they need to grow to; this will increase their productivity because they have a clear map of what they need to achieve in the near future.
Check out the end of the video for a tip to make sure that these new roles don’t become “out of site, out of mind.” ![]()
